Downsizing to be with my daughter: Moving to a Park Home

We caught up with our lovely resident Mr. Smith who moved into his lovely Regency Park Home Bungalow about 3 months back.

He is well-settled in his new home now & enjoying a more relaxed way of life.

When I decided to retire & move closer to my daughter – I was sure that I didn’t want to live in a town or city. I was moving from Dudley & wanted to be close to my daughter & in a development which was green & peaceful.

Would you believe – the first time I saw my new home was the day I moved!

I did see it all in pictures & videos which my daughter did – she researched online & she went for viewing to the park.

She did choose well & I was sure that the park & home were perfect for me.

The home is easy to manage & just the perfect size for me. I am single & the home works just right for me.

I lived in an apartment for a few years & what I liked about park homes was that you get a nice amount of space outside as well which is so important. You cannot get that in an apartment.

The indoor space is comparable & you get an outside private area which is perfect for me as well.

The community in the park is very friendly & I speak with many of the residents often.

My daughter is about a 20-25 minute drive away & I see her often. I am happy & settled
