We recently caught up with the beautiful Jacqueline Petrie, resident of our Willows Park in Surrey. She has been living on the park since 2007 and loves it!

I wouldn’t have stayed this long if I didn’t love it says Jackie very candidly.

Jackie works up in London in the foreign office and she says that the parks are very well located & connected for her to make the daily commute to work quite easy.

We asked how Jackie came to choose this area and park when she decided to move all those years back.

I used to live in Aldershot with my mother. I started looking for a place to live. My sister was Anne Watson who is the manager for Surrey Hills Park. She recommended park home lifestyle to us & also showed us around the parks.

I loved the peace and quiet in the park. I liked what I saw & I decided to choose a lovely Omar Park Home.

Anne lives on Surrey Hills Park & I live in Willows Park but they are literally next to each other (less than 0.2 miles). Anne & I have got quite close to each other since and the whole park is very friendly.

For instance, recently Anne went for her holiday & I looked after her 2 dogs while she was away.

Basically the park is a haven of peace & quiet and I feel really secure & relaxed as soon as I step into the park.

While Willows Park is completely sold out, Surrey Hills has 1 brand new Omar Regency park home available.

Surrey Hills Park was voted one of the best parks in the South East of England for quality, location and the overall look of the park by an independent survey. There is a good community spirit on the park, and residents take great pride in their homes, keeping their gardens neat and tidy. This park has the added benefit of a live-on park manager for that extra peace of mind.
The local village shops cater for all your daily needs, whilst for larger shopping requirements and leisure activities, the main towns of Guildford, Camberley, Aldershot and Farnham are all a short distance away.

For those who are looking for a more active lifestyle there are many footpaths, bridleways and other small roads suitable for horse riding, cycling and walking that criss-cross the parish. Normandy Common has a picnic site and a stream with a path west that leads to Normandy Hill. There is also the Christmas Pie trail which leads into Guildford via a trail through woods, commons and meadows. Normandy also has many things to do with many clubs (especially sport) set up throughout the Village.

Our site fees are approximately £220.50 per month. Council Tax for any size Park Home is Band A which is £108.34 monthly (annually £1,300 approximately). Then you will have your normal utility bills.

We estimate the overall running costs including all of the above to be around £410 per month on average

  • Guildford Council
