I moved from a 3 bed house seven years ago and I would never change my life now! My mum, 86 years old, moved in to The Old Rectory Mews Park in Cornwall too and she loves it! She lives next door to me! For anyone who’s thinking of buying a park home, I say just do it. The bliss of less housework, much lower bills and a very safe park. I wave and know my neighbours and we all look out for each other. Everyone who visits us falls in love with the park lifestyle; all my family would love to have one! We stumbled on ours by mistake as we thought it was a bungalow to be honest; such a shame that more do not know about the park home lifestyle!
I and my wife moved from a mobile home site in Ripley, Surrey to The Oaks Park in Guildford back in May 2011. Our home was brand new but already on a plot. The plot itself is perfect, with a drive and not looking on to others. Our garden is all around us and I have made it into a Mediterranean look with lots of palms, so it looks perfect for those summer days. What we like the most is the area and how silent it is here- you can hear the cuckoos, sheep and even the odd owl… you wouldn’t hear that in a city or housing estate . We have great neighbours around us; we often have cheese and biscuits nights or go out to the local curry house together. In all, park home life is relaxing and stress free.
