Ian and Gail Jones were one of the first residents to move into Westover Residential Park at number 32. They are a lovely, welcoming couple and our park manager Adrian Haines recently met up with them for a quick chat.
Q. What attracted you to Westover Residential Park?
We had already decided that we wanted an Omar Regency park home so we researched where we wanted to live. We found Westover Park, Whitland in a location we loved and upon visiting could see the potential in the park; so we reserved our plot there and then!
Q. How’s the community growing at Westover?
Everyone is so friendly and willing to help each other out, the beginning of a good community.
Q. What have you found to do in Whitland?
There’s a lot to do; we are members of Whitland classic car club and Pembrokeshire M.G owners club. There’s also an informal sewing and craft club which is great! Other residents are members of the local walking club and computer club. There’s some good pub grub in walking distance. The dog walking country is great too.
Q. How about nearby?
You can walk to the train station and go to Carmarthen, Tenby, Saundersfoot and lots more. It takes about half an hour on the train.
Q. Finally, how do you think new residents will enjoy Westover Park and Whitland?
If people like to be part of a community there’s many opportunities for an enjoyable life
Carmarthenshire is less than 15 minute drive away and is a great day out! It has a lovely shopping centre with Debenhams and Marks & Spencer’s, quaint boutiques and Banks and restaurants!
Lovely beach towns like Tenby are only 25 minutes by train. The train station is a 10-minute walk from the park and it’s all a level walk, so easy on the legs!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenby.Tenby is a harbour town and resort in southwest Wales. It’s known for its 13th-century town walls and its stretches of sandy shoreline, including Castle Beach. The ruins of Tenby Castle are on a headland overlooking the harbour. Exhibits at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery include 16th-century wrought-iron cannon. The Tudor Merchant’s House recreates domestic life in 1500, with a merchant’s shop and working kitchen
Located right on the Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire border, nestled halfway between the historic, bustling town of Carmarthen and the famous sunny beach towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot lays our lovely Westover Residential Park.
